Takanashi Kiara (小鳥遊キアラ/たかなしきあら) is an English Virtual YouTuber associated with hololive, as part of the Hololive English 1st Generation. She is the third hololive EN member. She is a phoenix warrior born in July 6th, which is National Fried Chicken Day in the United States. She is a phoenix, NOT a chicken or turkey (dislikes it when people mistake her for one). Kiara is immortal, unless she’s eaten. Kiara is arguably one of the oldest hololives. She was born in a time before humans lived on Earth. Her belt can turn her back into her phoenix form, as such, she is prohibited from using it. Kiara’s blue feather “earrings” are in fact feathers which come from behind her ears.
Kiara is enthusiastic and friendly, energetic and sometimes chaotic in nature. Even though she is secretly quite shy, she is still more lewd and foolish than other members. However, she can surprise viewers with moments of gentleness, compassion, and insightful wisdom. Kiara is open with her feelings and cares strongly for her friends and family. She is sometimes bird-brained, being forgetful or having a short attention span. She prefers video games with fixed goals. Kiara expressed that she has a crush on Mori Calliope. Kiara, a phoenix who has been continuously reborn, always meets Calliope each time she dies.
She works extremely hard. Her dream is to become a fast food shop owner, release original music, for people to make fanart or cosplay of her, collaborations with games, anime or conventions among others. Kiara insists that fast food is healthy, and chicken in particular is very healthy. She claims to eat 53 pieces of chicken per day. She likes fast food, adventures, hats, singing, drawing, eating and fighting. She dislikes scary stuff and one-sided feelings, unrequited love. On November 26th, she released her first original song, HINOTORI. Her fanbase is officially called the “Kiara Fan Club”. She is left-handed. Kiara is multilingual, speaking English, Japanese, German (native speaker), and “Bird”. Her favorite Hololive member is Usada Pekora.

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Takanashi Kiara from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
