Let’s learn how to draw Nekomata Okayu from hololive Gamers today!
Nekomata Okayu (猫又おかゆ) is a Japanese Virtual YouTuber associated with hololive, as part of the Hololive Gamers. She is a cat girl, raised by an old woman from the onigiri store. She streams just because there is a PC in the old woman’s room. She has been playing games since childhood as her grandmother owned a lot of 80’s and 90’s games.
Okayu is typically very relaxed, free-spirited, and kind of a playboy or prankster. Combined with Okayu’s innate love for comedy, she often plays pranks on the other Holomembers and makes random puns while being smug. She sometimes flirts openly with other hololive members just to see their reactions. She never denies her wrongdoings. Okayu is known for her relaxing voice and calm disposition, except while playing games. She can get very emotional to the point that she can break down into tears during emotional moments in the story. Despite her playful nature, Okayu is very straightforward. She is honest to her feelings and doesn’t push herself to do things she doesn’t want to. In the same way, she doesn’t judge others and tries to be accepting of everyone’s point of view. Okayu doesn’t care how other people see her, which allows her to have embarrassing, but fun moments in her streams.
She likes to talk a lot about daily activities and old stories. Okayu can be quite hospitable and is very close to Korone, having been good friends with Korone before joining hololive. She mainly plays RPG games and loves the Super Mario series. Her fanbase is officially called “Onigiryaa” (おにぎりゃー). Her representative emoji is an Onigiri (rice ball).

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Nekomata Okayu from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
