How to Draw Lucoa from Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon

Let’s learn how to draw Lucoa from Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon today!
Quetzalcoatl (ケツァルコアトル Ketsarukoatoru), often referred to as Lucoa (ルコア Rukoa), is one of the supporting characters in the series Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. She is Quetzalcoatl, the mythological deity from the Aztec mythology. She lost her divine status centuries ago after getting drunk with some cursed liquor and causing a scandal, much like the Quetzalcoatl of the original myth. She is an old friend of main character Tohru.

In her human form, Lucoa is a tall, fair-skinned woman with the body of hour-glass shape and enormously large breasts. Her blond hair is long and wavy. She has heterochromatic eyes and doesn’t open them often. Quetzalcoatl keeps her horns, but her tail stays hidden. Her dragon form takes the appearance of a large ‘amphithere’ dragon with broad feathered wings and a mask-like skull. She is by far one of the largest dragons. Lucoa commonly wears skin-tight or revealing clothing, showing off her arousing body.

Lucoa appears to be laid-back, carefree and is rarely seen without a smile. She is wise, kind, nurturing and often has advice for her younger kin. As a former goddess, she is better tuned to human customs. However, Lucoa has a flirtatious nature and seems to severely lack some sense of dignity. She is not above using her body as a means of getting what she wants. Also she has confessed that she hates conflict so much that she will run away at the first sign of trouble without protecting anyone and then act as if nothing had happened after everything is over.

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.

If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Lucoa from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^_-.
