Let’s learn how to draw Jolyne “JoJo” Kuujou from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure today!
Jolyne “JoJo” Kuujou (空条 徐倫) is the main protagonist of the sixth part of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, Stone Ocean, and the sixth JoJo of the series. She is the daughter of the third arc’s hero, Joutarou Kuujou and American woman, and is the only female “JoJo” to date. She is also a Stand user (a visual manifestation of life energy, an entity psychically generated by its owner). Her Stand is Stone Free, which grants Jolyne the ability to unravel parts of her body into a string.
Jolyne in adolescence would undoubtedly be considered a delinquent and a lost cause. She was quick to anger, flighty, abrupt, and snappy with her elders, irresponsible, at first only looking to satisfy a cheap thrill. Bitter at her father for leaving the family for so long, she blamed him for her misguided outlook. She tried multiple times to catch her father’s attention by committing various minor crimes and went to jail several times for them. However, she still had honorable morals and treasured her mother. She would selflessly do everything in her power to help her friends. After acquiring her Stand and being told by Jotaro of his love for her, Jolyne noticeably matures, becoming more courageous and confident. “Reviving” Jotaro, who fell into a coma turns into her first priority.
Like all other members of the Joestar family, Jolyne has a small, star-shaped birthmark on the rear of her left shoulder, close to her neck. Jolyne is often symbolized by a butterfly. The butterfly design on her shirt, combined with the spider-web design of her outfit, symbolizes her entrapment and innocence in life.
Step 1
As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Step 3
Step 4

Step 6
Step 7
Step 8
Step 9
Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.
Step 10
Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.
Step 11
To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Jolyne from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
Draw with passion! ^_^
