Let’s learn how to draw Guido Mista from Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure today!
Guido Mista (グイード・ミスタ Guīdo Misuta) is one of the main characters of Vento Aureo – Golden Wind, which is the fifth story arc of JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken series. Mista is a mobster and the member of the “Passione” gang. He is a gunman with purple revolver and Stand User. He shoots down his opponents with the help of his Stand (a visual manifestation of life energy, an entity psychically generated by its owner), Sex Pistols. It is composed of six tiny bullet-like entities (referred to by Mista as “people”) living inside a revolver, numbered from 1 to 7, skipping the number 4 due to Mista’s tetraphobia (fear of the number 4).
Mista is a teenager of above-average height and medium build. He wears uniquely shaped red headgear with a diagonal white grid pattern. The front side is shaped like an arrow pointing downward through his forehead. He is known to keep a lot of things inside his hat, particularly ammunition. Mista has large black irises. He likes quality clothing material. He wears blue turtleneck crop top cashmere sweater with a design similar to his hat. His leather pants are red with zebra stripes and with a thick blue belt. He prefers to keep his hands free, so he uses his pants to store his gun.
Mista is easy-going, relaxed, laid-back teenager, being one of the least serious members of Team Bucciarati. Mista is also one of the most sociable members of the group. While Mista may act nonchalantly, he is one of the most uncivil and violent members of the crew. He often commits violent acts without hesitation. He displays a total willingness to commit outright torture or murder with a casual approach. He has also been shown to be very ill-mannered at times, using coarse language and often taunting his enemies when he has the upper hand in battle. Guido Mista is also a resolute gunslinger when in battle and shows a great deal of confidence in his ability. Mista is a supporter of taking initiative and direct confrontation with his enemies, sometimes to the point of rushing too rapidly to battle. In contrast to his usually easy-going attitude, Mista becomes noticeably more serious and proactive when in battle. He shows great calmness in battle, managing to keep his nerve most of the time despite wounds or even the threat of death. However, that calmness has its limits.
Thanks a lot to PrinceAwesome88 for request. ^_^
Step 1
As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.
Step 2
Step 3
Step 4
Step 5
Step 6
Step 7
Step 8
Step 9
Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.
Step 10
Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.
Step 11
To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Guido Mista from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
Draw with passion! ^_^
