Let’s learn how to draw Bruno “Bucciarati” Buccellati from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure today!
Bruno Bucciarati (ブローノ・ブチャラティ Burōno Bucharati) is the deuteragonist of Vento Aureo – Golden Wind, which is the fifth story arc of JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken series. Bruno is a mobster and the member of the “Passione” gang. Bucciarati is also a Stand User who wields Sticky Fingers in battle. A Stand is a visual manifestation of life energy, an entity psychically generated by its owner.
Bruno Bucciarati was born the son of a humble fisherman in a suburb of Naples town where he spent most of his happy childhood. When Bucciarati was seven years old, his parents divorced. Bucciarati decided to live with his father in the fishing village while his mother wanted to move to the city. Bucciarati’s father worked very hard in the hope that the Bucciarati would one day move to the city and receive an education. One day, Bucciarati’s father was shot seven times by gangsters involved with the drug trade, who pretended to be fishermen. Bucciarati killed both gangsters but knew that from now he is in danger from retaliation. He thus joined Passione in exchange for the protection it could give him against the two gangsters’ friends who might be seeking revenge.
Bucciarati is a mid-sized man with a slim build. His black hair is chin-length and straight-cut bangs cover his forehead. He has a braid going along the top of his head and a hair clip surmounted on each side of his bangs. His appearance seems to have stayed consistent since childhood with no particular differences outside his height and clothing. He wears an all-white suit covered in small black spoon-like symbols and zippers in random places alluding to his Stand, Sticky Fingers. The chest area on the suit is open so we can see a lace top, which is seemingly portrayed as a tattoo in the TV anime.
Bruno Bucciarati is a sly gangster, righteous, extremely determined and naturally kind. In contrast to his righteousness, he has a brutal, violent and ruthless side. Bucciarati is dedicated to taking the most honorable course of action, even if he puts his life at risk. Bucciarati believes that resolve involves risking one’s own life for a just cause. Bucciarati is loyal to the civilians of his territory, being considerate with them accepting their requests for help, and is generally nice to the people he meets. However, Bucciarati also particularly despises the drug trade, which caused his father’s death and is hurting the population on a large scale, especially children. Because of his allegiance to Passione which is selling drugs in the street, Bucciarati is conflicted between his code and his duty as a gang member. Bucciarati is an experienced fighter, consistently shown to be serious.

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Bruno Bucciarati from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
