Let’s learn how to draw Rin Onigawara from Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism today!
Rin Onigawara (鬼瓦 輪) is one of the main protagonists of Armed Girl’s Machiavellism series. She is a renowned sword wielder and leads the Supreme Five Swords (Tenka Goken) whose duty is to “correct” problematic students to achieve “symbiosis” at The Private Aichi Symbiosis Academy.
Her parents divorced when Rin was a child due to her father’s affair and departure from the family. Rin’s mother was devastated by the divorce and blamed Rin for that. Rin was famous for her prominent and irrational hate of men. She is also merciless until most transfer students quit school. Thanks to that, her class always has less people compared to the other classes. Rin is an extremely skilled practitioner of Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryū sword style. Rin has very great strength, excellent dexterity, very strong endurance and reflexes due to her extreme training in swordsmanship.
Rin is considered to be a beautiful young girl with fair skin. She has a traditional bob cut and black hair. Her eyes are purple. She usually wears a black long-sleeved sailor uniform with a white collar and a red neckerchief with a belt and a rope wrapped around her waist. She always places her katana on her left waist. Her black miniskirt matches with black high socks with a white garter and brown shoes. Rin has a half demon mask covering her right eyes which she donned in order to be in her mother’s presence. It shielded her from her’s mother emotional abuse. Her mother repeatedly told her she was ugly and called her the child of a monster. Over the years her mask became integral to her to the point that Rin now wears the mask at all times in public.

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Onigawara Rin from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^_-.
